Today, for this month's edition of Meet and Greet, I'm so thrilled to share with you one of my absolute favorite IG'ers turned Blogger, Hayley from San Francisco Bay Style. To say I was excited when she opened her blog would be an understatement. I was like, OMG THIS IS AMAZING! LOL. If you follow Hayley {@haycons} on IG you will know what I'm talking about. She consistently posts wonderful and amazing outfits and is so uplifting and friendly with her comments. Seriously, you feel the #instalove with this girl! So when I approached her with the Meet and Greet questionairre and she said yes I literally did a little happy dance! I love this girl!

So, without further ado {and too much girl crushing} let's get onto the interview!

Tell me a bit about yourself, Hayley! You know, the good stuff that people might not know!

Well, I was born in San Francisco and raised in San Mateo, CA. I am the youngest of three siblings with an older brother and sister. My father worked for the San Francisco Municipal Railway {he drove the rail cars!} and my Mom worked in a restaurant before retiring. She taught me all about fashion, style, and, of course, shopping!

After high school I attended San Francisco State University and received my bachelor's in Broadcast Electronic Communication Arts - essentially radio, television, and film production. When I was younger, my parents used to take us to Universal Studios and it influenced my dream to become a Producer/Director.

Following my degree, I worked on production for the Leeza Gibbons talk show as well as producer on a show hosted by Paget Brewster {Criminal Minds}. They were wonderful experiences but I felt the need for a career change that offered more stability. With that in mind I got into Human Rescources for a software company in Silicon Valley and am loving every minute of it.

Okay, you are seriously cool now! I love Paget Brewster and am a total Criminal Minds-aholic! Can you tell me a bit about your family life? This is always one of my fave parts of interviews!

Haha. Sure. I married my high school sweetheart and we were blessed with identical twin boys 8 years ago. I always say that my first job is being a mom. We like to take family vacations as much as possible.

In general, we are budget conscious travelers. We like to explore all the fabulous places California has to offer which keeps the costs down on flying. FYI, if you're visiting CA, check out Disneyland, Palm Desert, Santa Barbara, Lake Tahoe and Napa.

My husband is an avid outdoors adventurer so he likes camping and fishing. I like wine tasting, the beach, and fun days at the amusement part! The great thing about California is there is so much to do and see for all interests! Although, I am currently saving for a Disney cruise to the Caribbean!

What or who inspired you to start sharing your outfits on Instagram and your Blog?

I had no idea how to use Instagram at first. I was aking my friends "what does #ootd mean"? Haha! I started following a few ladies such as Bethany {bma_21}; Kate {kateirenebleu}; January {januaryhartrizzo}, and you! I realized that I loved waking up in the morning and looking for some daily outfit inspiration! I started building up a list of ladies to follow and my passion for fashion began!

I've always had the fashion bug, though. My mom was a fashionista in her own right and taught me all about styling, clothes, accessorizing, and shopping on a budget. We would spend hours in the mall when I was a young girl and some of my best meomories were taking the train to Union Square in San Francisco for many shopping trips!

You know, those are some of my best memories too! My mom, my sister, and I hitting up all the shops and big malls! It was amazing! I'm so happy to know that I'm not alone in these memories being some of the best! LOL

Okay, so people tend to ask me how I would describe my style and I just kind of smile and say whatever it might be that day. What about you? How would you classify your style?

I actually like all different styles - casual chic, preppy, flirty and feminine, etc. I love both high and low design so one day you will find me shopping at Target, the next day buying a dress at Kate Spade, and the following day purchasing a handbage at Louis Vuitton. I like to shop at Nordstrom, Target, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, JC Penney, Macys, Old Navy, Gap, J. Crew, to name a few. I also like more luxurious designs such as Burberry, Chanel, Christian Louboutin, and Valentino. Sometimes, I do like to splurge on nice things that will last a lifetime. So, yeah, it depends on the day! ;)

Now, I'm constantly adding to my closet what I consider outfit essentials {although my husband doesn't think that a hot pink skirt is an essential, but whatevs} so I've got to ask, what are your suggestions for outfit basics?

Accessorize! A colorful scarf, a statement necklace, a fun arm party, great earrings, and/or a gorgeous hat can make an otherwise plain outfit look incredible! I try to mix patterns, colors, and textures for a visually pleasing look as well. Lastly, don't forget a fabulous pair of shoes to complete the overall look!

Great tips, Hayley! I totally agree on them all. So, tell us, are you a deal shopper? How do you stick to a budget and still look absolutely fabulous on a daily basis?

I start first by finding the things I love! I usually don't buy something just because it's on sale. I guess you could say that I'm a concious shopper. I search on Google Shopping before purchasing something to ensure that I am getting the best price. I also use apps such as "Retail Me Not" for coupons. I download my favorite store apps on my mobile and check the sales on a regular basis! I have been known to stalk certain items I love for the sale price! However, when an item is super popular and stock is running low, I just go ahead and get it.

A trick I learned from my mom is that stores are pretty good at providing price adjustments if the item goes on sale within a certain time frame! If any store says that they cannot give a price adjustment, just repurchase the item item at the sale price and return the previously purchased one for a refund. Make sure you know the return policy first though!

We've all got that "one day it will be mine" item! If you could have one luxury item in your closet right now, regardless of price, what would it be?

A gold Cartier love bracelet, for sure!

I know it's hard to pick you're favorite outfit that you've worn, but could you?

Talk about putting a girl on the spot. LOL. It's really hard to pick so you're going to have to pick one!

You're right! Definitely hard to choose!! I think, though, that this one is my absolute favorite. Or the 4th of July! All of them fabulous!

Just a few more questions, thank you again, for taking the time out to do this! It's so appreciated. So, what outfit do you want to be when you grow up? Mine has changed from last months so now when I'm all grown I want to be a swishy black taffeta cocktail dress with bit of tulle poking out and a pair of Saint Laurent d'Orsay pointy pumps. What about you?

I'm most comfortable when I'm casual - a pair of jeans, a tee shirt, and a baseball cap will suit me just fine anytime!

What about a style tip that you can share?

Understand your body shape and wear clothes that flatter your figure. I am 5'10 so finding pants and skirts that are long enough can be a challenge. Over the last year I have also discovered through my own pics what styles look best for my figure. There are a lot of tips online to help find the best style for various shapes and sizes. But, if you are ever in doubt, consult a stylist!

Last question! Promise!! Can you recommend one blog or IG'er that we should all be following?

My favorite new Instagram friend is Lucy from @herhautemess. She is a San Francisco based life and style blogger who can be found at Her fashionable style and amazing photos are charming and enduring! Check out her fabulous blog!

Well, there you have it! Thank you so much, Hayley for taking the time out to let us all get to know you a little better! You can find Hayley, and her gorgeous outfits, on her blog at San Francisco Bay Style, on Instagram at @haycons, on Pinterest, and Twitter!

As always, thanks for reading and I will see you tomorrow! xoxo
