Shopping Haul - JC Penney

I'm honestly still in awe over today's shopping haul! I picked up every item, with the exception of the Old Navy sailboat sweater at JC Penney for $16. Yes, you heard me, SIXTEEN DOLLARS!! Can you believe it? I'm still having a hard time with it. This was literally the most money I have ever saved. My receipt showed that I saved over $400!! So, I bet you're asking how I did it... well, let me tell you it wasn't just luck.

Last week when I was browsing through the racks, I noticed that the prices were all pretty low, around the $6 region. Since our Penney's doesn't seem to have a lot of business coming in, I was banking that the prices would drop further. Before I left, I asked the cashier at the til if she thought the prices would go down. She couldn't give me a difinitive answer but, hey, sometimes you can just tell. So, I decided to give it another week and come back.

I checked this morning before I left if there were any coupons available on their website and sure enough there was an additional 25% off clearance items available. I printed it and was on my way, determined to not spend more than $40 today. I pretty much paid around $1.50 to $2.00 a piece for each item. Since I did so well, I decided to go ahead and splurge (lol) on this $15 sailboat sweater from Old Navy that I've had my eye on.

I would say that all in all, this was some of the greatest savings I've ever seen on some extremely cute items!! I mean, come on, those ankle pants!! SWOON! Have a good night lovelies and let me know in the comments below some of your crazy savings!!
